Science Night this Tuesday, March 12th!!

The wonderful boards are displayed in the halls and over 20 judges have come and gone. The winners have been decided so all that is left is to celebrate!

All are welcome to attend Monroe’s second annual Science Night! Come for the wonderful, creative science projects, stay for the hands-on projects with our teachers and outside vendors. Even if you did not submit a Science Fair project, you and your family are welcome to stop by and participate in Science Night.

Similar to Family Reading Night last fall, parents and children can come in and stay for as little or as long as they want. During the course of the evening, we will ask students to stand by their boards to talk about their project with parents and friends who walk by. Parents, please ask questions! There will be a handout on Science Night with suggested questions.

There will be no formal announcement of the winners. The names will be displayed on a poster and in a slideshow running in the gym. Below is the schedule for when students are asked to stand in front of their boards and field questions from fellow students and family:

6:15 — 6:25 p.m. — Kindergarten & 2nd grade

6:30 — 6:40 p.m. — 1st grade & 5th grade

6:45 — 6:55 p.m. — Group projects, all grades

7:00 p.m. — Group Photo with Mr. Horne and Miles the Mad Scientist in the Gym

7:10 — 7:20 p.m. — 3rd & 4th grade

Don’t forget to wear your Science Fair T-shirts for Science Night! We hope to see you on Tuesday!
