We are finalizing bowling teams for the Monroe Bowling League which takes place the second Friday of every month from October through April at Suburbanite Bowl in Westmont. Each team should have 3-4 couples.

Deadline to join is September 15th.

It is a fun adults-only night out and a great way to meet other Monroe couples. You do not need to be good at bowling to join - it is just for fun!

Update your student(s)' teacher in Membership Toolkit!

Mustang Parents! As a PTO, we go to great lengths to keep our Monroe families' contact information as complete and up-to-date as possible. All families (returning and new) should log into Membership Toolkit to ensure both their contact preferences are correct and their students' teacher information is updated for the 23/24 school year.

On your personal computer,

1. Please enter https://www.monroeschoolpto.com/home to access the Membership Toolkit homepage.
2. From there, click on "Register/Log In" and "Family Information" located in the first "Parent and Student Information" drop down box.
3. Please select the current teachers for each student.

One of the helpful aspects of Membership Toolkit is the ability to pull class lists for room parent, birthday party invitations, etc. To do so, click on Directory from the Membership Toolkit homepage. Filter by grade and teacher. On the app, click Directory on the homepage and the funnel icon on the top right corner.

Bike Rodeo - Wed., Sept. 6

The Bike Rodeo is Wednesday, September 6 at 3:10 p.m. on school grounds (it could take up to 90 minutes, depending on participation).

The event is open to students in 3rd grade, and any new students to the school that are between 3rd and 5th grade. Students must have their own bicycle helmet to participate in the event. Please complete and print the Bike Registration Form in advance of event (attached below). Students should watch the two videos (links below).

Join us at our annual kick-off fundraising event, The Backyard Bash, on Saturday, Sept. 9th at 5pm.

This college-theme event is a great time to catch up with other Monroe parents and hopefully meet some new ones! Tickets are limited and on sale now! Click HERE to purchase tickets. This is a parent-only party; 100% of the proceeds go to Monroe School PTO.

After School Enrichments Return to Monroe!

After School Enrichment will return to Monroe in the Fall!

Art, BAM, Chess, Golf, Lego and Spanish programs will be offered! Most programs start the week of September 11.

Note that we are not using the Homeroom registration process this year, so if interested you will need to register with the specific vendor. Flyers will be available at Curriculum Night (8/30) with more information. In addition, more information will be available at the Monroe PTO website.

We are so excited to start the school year on August 22nd. We know it will be a wonderful year for the Monroe community, celebrating this year's SELAS theme, and watching each and every child "GROW" in learning and kindness!

All parents are welcome to join the PTO on the blacktop after their children enter school, to have a coffee and celebrate the new year!

Lemonade Stand - Thank you!

Thank you for all those who attending the Lemonade Stand on August 17th! It was great to see both the new and familiar faces back on school grounds, and meet our new principal Mrs. Eder.

A special thanks to Jamie Yammine, Bea Harnois, Tamsyn Pequet, Kate Hwan and Jenna Asher for displaying our spiritwear, keeping the lemonade flowing and the garden games going!

Special congrats to the Yammine family for winning the Miles Raffle! We can't wait to see your photos with Miles from the first day of school!

Back-to-School Lemonade Stand - 8/17

Let's get together before the first day of school to enjoy some lemonade, catch up with old friends and meet new ones, buy spirit wear, walk through the Living Garden, and meet our new principal, Mrs. Eder. We hope to see you there!

This year the PTO will be using Membership Toolkit as a home base for so many of the things we do. Previously MTK hosted our family directory, but now will host our website, blog, newsletter, directory, and most of our sales and forms. We hope this will make all of our lives just the tiniest bit easier!
