Green Club Old/Broken Crayon Collection - Last Call
1/6/2024 11:10 pm
The Monroe Green Club is sponsoring a used crayon collection. We are collecting old and broken crayons to donate to the SCARCE Super Crayon Project. By collecting old crayons, we are helping to prevent crayons from entering our landfills. Plus, the oil from crayons will be melted down and made into different shaped "Super Crayons" for children with special needs.
Thank you for supporting this Green Club project!
The collection ends Wednesday, January 17.

Every child messes up, sometimes in ways that seem sure to wreck their futures: a bad report card, poor sportsmanship, underaged drinking. These are tough moments for parent and child alike, often complicated by the fear that the misstep is also an indictment of our parenting. But what each of these “fails” has in common for our kids is the precious silver lining of a chance for character building and developing more grit- if we help them process their mistakes well.
Icard offers specific and invaluable advice about what to say, what not to say, and what to do to help children in eight categories of tense situations.

We appreciate the Monroe Staff!
12/17/2023 6:20 am
The Monroe Staff Rocks! Parents, thank you for your generous donations to the PTO this year. They have allowed the Staff Appreciation Committee to provide monthly lunches in October, November and December for our wonderful teachers and staff. Last week on Wednesday 12/13 the teachers enjoyed subs from Fontanos, chips, cookies and drinks.
Do you have a special talent or relationship with a local restaurant or store who may want to help us support our teachers?
Please email us with your ideas at staffappreciation@monroeschoolpto.com.
