Monroe girls get ready to dance the night away at the Sweetheart Dance! The dance will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 from 7-9 at Hinsdale Golf Club. 

Monroe students and their special caregiver are welcome. Tickets are $45/person and include music by DJ Maximus, dancing, desserts, and more!

Golf Club: Registration Open Now

Elementary Golf School is offering an exciting junior golf program at Monroe School, designed to expose golf to juniors of all ability levels. 

This program is created and taught by PGA Professionals, to include lesson plans that are fun, safe, and educational. Students will be given the opportunity to experiment with playing a variety of different shots. The program teaches basic fundamentals, with plenty of variation for practicing and playing. We will not only teach the shots, but also the etiquette, behavior, and finer points of the rules of the game. Our instructors will be able to adjust the level of complexity to each child’s individual level of progress.

The Monroe Green Club is holding a fundraiser to support water.org.

Water.org is an organization dedicated to helping people all over the world get access to clean water and functional toilets. We will be collecting spare change throughout December! If your child would like to donate, please have them place spare change in the labeled tissue box in their classroom!

It's time! Holiday Greenery Pickup for 5th Graders who sold to families and ordered holiday greenery is today, Sunday December 1st from 1pm-3pm this afternoon at Monroe School. Just pull up and our volunteers will load your cars with all of your items from your orders. If you are a Monroe family who ordered from the sale, but did not specifically select a 5th grader on the form, please pick up this afternoon from 1-3pm as well. We cannot store any items so pick-up needs to conclude at 3pm. If you have any questions, please reach to Jeannine Kearney or Leslie Lee.

Monroe Family Night at Wolves Game and Toys For Tots Drive!

Come join other Monroe families at a Chicago Wolves game on December 8 at 3:00 (doors open at 2:00). All attendees will receive a FREE Chicago Wolves knit hat and will be seated together. Tickets are $27.50 per person, and a portion of this price will be donated to Wounded Warriors - a non-profit organization that provides critical care to wounded service members and their family. KIDS Grants

Did you know the D181 Foundation has a KIDS Grants program? Any District 181 student can apply for a KIDS Grant and grant activities do not need to be carried out in school. Some past examples of grants are:

*Repaint a statue in the school yard
*Collect blankets to help people in Syria
*Teach disadvantaged students to play chess
*Collect/deliver canned foods to local food pantry
*Have a raffle to raise money for a hospital
