Blankets for Bayan Event on March 20th

We welcome our Monroe Students and Parents to volunteer after school on Wednesday, March 20th, 3:05-4:30pm.  We will work together to create no-sew, soft blankets for children who are in the hospital. All supplies will be provided. Please see below for more information and why we support this awesome cause!

Monroe Cares is very honored to partner with the Bayan Hassaballa Foundation to host this “Blankets From Bayan” event.  When Bayan was ill with cancer, a neighbor made her a blanket as her treatments often left her feeling cold.  She loved the blanket as it provided her with so much comfort and warmth. Please join us to honor her legacy and help other children battling similar diseases as Bayan.
For parents volunteering to pre-cut the blankets, please feel free to text Reem Hassaballa directly (630-989-0575) and you can pick up the blankets.
